Moscow Gets New Prosecutor

The Moscow City Duma on Thursday approved Sergei Kudeneyev as the new city prosecutor, replacing Yury Syomin, who was moved to head a department at the Prosecutor General's Office.

Kudeneyev, 50, formerly a department head at the Prosecutor General's Office, told lawmakers that he is not planning big reshuffles, Interfax reported. He has not commented on his new deputy, Alexander Kozlov, who is implicated in a gambling ring scandal.
