Alexander Ryklin, chief editor of the opposition-minded website Daily Journal, has been fined 1,000 rubles ($14) for his participation in an unsanctioned rally on Dec.12 in Moscow, the OVD-Info news site reported Tuesday.
Ryklin, who is also an activist from the Solidarnost (Solidarity) democratic opposition movement, has been charged with disobeying police during the protest, which took place on Constitution Day on Dec. 12 at Novopushkinsky Skver in Moscow.
The rally was forbidden by authorities.
Ryklin was among more than 30 other activists detained during the protest, but was released on the same day.
On Monday, Ryklin was detained again. He was stopped by traffic police while driving to the center of the city and taken to the police department.
