The agency quoted Soskovets as saying Japanese investment in Russian telecommunications projects and in the automobile industry would be discussed during the visit. "We hope to create a new car with a modern engine with Japanese help," he said.
The Russian side was also interested in credits from Japan's Eximbank which could be used for modernizing the Yaroslavl oil refinery in central Russia, he said.
