Authorities were investigating the cause of the fire, which broke out Sunday afternoon in the town of Fuxin. Officials from the central government have been sent to Fuxin to investigate.
Kyodo News Agency of Japan, quoting local journalists, said the fire was caused by an electrical problem and burned for more than two hours before it was extinguished.
