A 44-year-old woman who works as a cleaner at state energy giant Gazprom had a luxurious Dior purse stolen from her Mitsubishi Outlander car, tabloid website LifeNews reported Tuesday.
The theft took place in the parking lot of the Rumyantsevo business center in southwestern Moscow. The woman, named only as "Maria P.," left the purse in her vehicle and when she returned after a few minutes, she noticed that the door of the vehicle was open and the purse containing bank cards and documents was gone.
The stolen purse, made of black and blue crocodile skin, was first estimated to be worth 300,000 rubles ($3,937), but Moscow's Dior branch said later that it was almost seven times more expensive and cost 2 million rubles ($26,250), the Lenta.ru news agency reported, citing the 360 TV Channel.
The woman reported the theft to the police and they are investigating the incident.
