Police Hunt for Mysterious Helicopter Pilot Who Gave Woman Lift to Beach

A pilot could be in hot water after dropping off a woman at a Novokuznetsk riverside beach in a helicopter last weekend.

A video posted on YouTube shows a woman being dropped off by a white helicopter at a riverside beach complex in the Kemerovsk region, after which the chopper takes off.

The city's deputy transport prosecutor, Sergei Akulov, said the flight had not been sanctioned by regional air transportation authorities, regional newspaper Kemerov.ru reported.

The helicopter's pilot could face a fine of up to 5,000 rubles ($148), Vesti.ru reported, adding his lucky passenger cannot be held legally liable for the ride.
