The trade paper's Tuesday edition said the venture will be called BBC World and will consist of news reports, magazine shows, documentaries and informational programing produced in Britain. The paper quoted sources as saying the BBC is targeting the service to compete with CNN International, which Turner Broadcasting System Inc is launching in the U.S. early next year.
