The deadly crash of a Russian Mi-28 helicopter in Syria on Tuesday was caused by human error, according to TASS news agency reports.
TASS quoted an unidentified source in the Russian Air Force, who said that the exact cause of the crash would be determined after the helicopter's black box was decoded in Moscow.
The Interfax news agency, citing an unidentified source within the military-industrial complex, reported that the crash could have been caused by the collision with another object amid challenging flight conditions.
The Russian Mi-28 Night Hunter attack helicopter crashed on Tuesday near the city of Homs in western Syria, killing the two pilots on board. Russia's Defense Ministry reported that the helicopter was not under fire at the time of the crash.
