Seventy-five years ago today, on Dec. 27, 1938, one of Russia's most beloved poets, Osip Mandelstam, passed away. The writer is believed to have died at a transit camp near Vladivostok where he was put away after having been charged with counter-revolutionary activities.

… we have a small favor to ask.
