BRASILIA, Brazil — Brazil says it will send a mission to Moscow to discuss the resumption of its meat exports to Russia.
Agriculture Minister Wagner Rossi said Wednesday that the mission will provide a list of Brazilian meatpacking companies that comply with all of the health requirements demanded by the Russians.
In April, Russia banned Brazilian beef, pork and chicken from 15 meatpacking establishments, saying their sanitary control systems were flawed. An additional 90 companies were added to the list early this month. Brazil exports close to $4 billion worth of meat annually to Russia.
