A collection agency has asked the Kaliningrad region branch of United Russia party to expel a member who has refused to pay his debts, the news web site Rugrad.eu reported.
A local court last year ordered Anatoly Svinitsky, who heads a construction company, to pay some 1.3 million rubles ($45,000) to the family of an Afghan war veteran who contracted the firm for home repairs, the report said.
But Svinitsky refused to accept the court ruling, said collection agency chief Alexander Khalayev, so the agency asked United Russia to expel the businessman.
The party has not commented on Svinitsky's case.
