Video: Cops Dance on Car

A YouTube video showing bare-chested traffic police officers dancing on the roof of their car, apparently drunk, has prompted an internal inquiry in the Sverdlovsk region town of Krasnoturinsk, Gazeta.ru reported Wednesday.

Sverdlovsk traffic police chief Yury Dyomin denounced the 2008 video as “shameful.”

“You have to be some kind of disgusting people who hold nothing sacred to allow such a shameful situation,” Dyomin told Gazeta.ru.

Police said the officers, who turned on the police car’s flashing lights and siren, were celebrating the promotion of a colleague, and most of them were fired for unrelated reasons within a year of the party.

The unidentified uploader appears to have posted the video last week as revenge for a traffic ticket, the report said.
