St. Petersburg's anti-narcotics agency has detained a 50-year-old chemist for producing amphetamines in his apartment, the Federal Drug Control Service (FSKN) reported.
The man, who had no prior convictions, reportedly would produce the amphetamines and then sell them to drug dealers around the city, the FSKN reported Thursday.
During the raid of the secret laboratory, the FSKN uncovered chemical equipment able to produce up to 10 kilograms of amphetamines a month.
The man was taken into custody after handing around 130 grams of the psychoactive drug to a client, the report said.
