Sheremetyevo Mulls Developer Tender

A tender could be held to find a new strategic partner for the northern zone of Sheremetyevo Airport, which includes terminals 1, 2 and 3, Interfax reported.

“We need to build a new terminal and a new tunnel,” the airport’s chief Mikhail Vasilenko said. “There will be a tender for the entire northern zone.”

Vasilenko added that a meeting to discuss the development of the Moscow aviation zone would take place in July, with preparations already underway for a possible link between Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo airports.

Despite having spoken to consultants regarding the merger, Vasilienko said he does not expect there to be any real progress on the merger for the next seven years.
