Religious Construction to Be Publicly Reviewed

The construction of facilities for use by religious groups will be possible  only after public hearings, Moscow Deputy Mayor Marat Khusnullin said.

"Building of any religious facilities, regardless of the denomination, will be possible only after public hearings. If residents vote in favor, then there will be construction," Khusnullin said Saturday, Interfax reported.

The majority opinion of residents of the neighborhood where construction is proposed will be heeded, he added.
