Annual inflation was unchanged in May, equaling a 19-month high, as the impact of last year's drought on food prices faded.
The annual rate remained at 9.6 percent for a second month, the State Statistics Service said Monday in an e-mailed statement. That matched the median estimate of 12 economists surveyed by Bloomberg. Prices rose 0.5 percent during the month after increasing 0.4 percent in April.
