Gazprom Eyes Europe Plants

Gazprom is looking to buy power plants in Western Europe and will decide on acquisition targets by the end of the year, Denis Fyodorov, head of its energy division, said Thursday.

"We have a decision from the Gazprom board of directors to consider the possibility of participating in the power sector in Western Europe," the head of Gazpromenergoholding told reporters. "We are doing active work and analyzing this market."
