Coal Mine Holds Work

Raspadskaya halted output for 20 days at its MUK-96 mine from Oct. 20 because of safety concerns, Interfax reported Monday, citing the Federal Court Marshals Service in the Kemerovo region that was enforcing a court order.

The mine, which has the capacity to produce 1 million metric tons a year, remains closed while the company resolves safety problems.
