Chubais Reveals Love for BMW

Rusnano CEO Anatoly Chubais is the first of all officials and managers of state corporations to publish this information. To conform with a presidential decree, all managers and board members of state corporations must report their income and assets.

Chubais owns an apartment in Moscow with total area of 175.8 square meters and two parking spaces totaling 30.6 square meters. Together with his wife Maria Vishnevskaya, Chubais owns a rather large (almost 1.5 hectare) site in the Moscow region. The plot has a house and outbuildings with total area of more than 2,000 square meters.

Judging by the report, Chubais is an admirer of BMW. He and his wife own two cars of this brand: the off-road X5 and the 530 XL sedan. We can assume that the SUV is entirely new because last year he sold a 2004 issue of the same model for 1.5 million rubles ($50,000). The CEO also has a Yamaha snowmobile and trailer.

The Rusnano director’s annual income last year was nearly 202.7 million rubles, of which most was income from securities and participating interests in commercial companies (176.5 million rubles). At Rusnano, Chubais earned nearly 13.2 million rubles in a year.

Chubais’ wife last year made nearly 22 million rubles. This is despite the fact that she does not receive a salary from anywhere, but rather thanks to income from securities and participating interests in commercial organizations, as well as income from bank deposits.
