Refinery Blast Kills 4

Four people were killed and five others injured in a gas explosion at a Russian oil refinery Friday, a spokesman for the emergencies ministry said. The blast at the Ryazan refinery southeast of Moscow was caused after an accidental explosion at a furnace in the catalytic reforming unit led to a fire. There was no damage to the oil pipeline pumping crude to the plant. The ministry spokesman said repair work was under way.
