Mind Over Matter

RVING, Texas () -- Injured running back Emmitt Smith has said the soggy conditions of San Francisco's Candlestick Park won't worry him when he plays Sunday in the National Football Conference title game between the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers.

"I'm not concerned about the field conditions,'' the Cowboys star said. "I'll be mentally prepared for anything. I'm just going to wrap my left hamstring tight and be out there as long as I can."

Smith jogged lightly Wednesday and said he would play at full strength against the 49ers despite the possibility of re-injuring his hamstring. "I don't know how close to 100 percent I'll be, but I'll go as long as I can,'' he said. "This is mind over matter."
