NEW YORK () -- After a lengthy jury-selection process opening statements are set to begin this week at the mail fraud trial of famed boxing promoter Don King.
King is accused of submitting a fake contract to Lloyd's of London to receive $350,000 in nonrefundable training fees after the cancellation of a June 1991 fight between Julio Cesar Chavez and Harold Brazier.
The fight was scrapped after Chavez hurt his nose sparring.
