Exchange Head Shot

MOSCOW () -- A gunman has seriously wounded the acting president of the Board of Exchange, Moscow's dollar futures exchange which ran into financial difficulties last month, police said Friday.


Kazantsev, 35, his brother and driver were shot and wounded as they left Kazantsev's apartment in southern Moscow on Thursday. The assailant, who shot them with a handgun, fled.


But a senior official for the exchange said he did not believe the attack and the financial problems were linked.
