SYDNEY () -- Zimbabwe inflicted a humiliating defeat on a demoralized England side on Thursday to record their first success in the cricket World Series Cup.
But they were aided by what appeared to be an umpiring aberration, when opener Grant Flower survived an appeal for a run-out when he had scored 26.
Flower carried his bat with an unbeaten 84 to help Zimbabwe to 205 all out and the Zimbabweans then dismissed England for 192 in 49.1 overs to secure victory by 13 runs.
