Dummy Missile Tested

MOSCOW () -- Russia successfully launched an intercontinental ballistic missile with dummy warheads from the Baikonur cosmodrome in northern Kazakhstan, Itar-Tass reported Friday.

The missile, which normally carries nuclear warheads, had been on combat duty and was launched Thursday to check its reliability, Itar-Tass said.

"All the dummy warheads hit the designated areas, which confirms the high reliability of Russian strategic missiles,'' military experts said.
