MOSCOW -- An employee of the Communist faction in the State Duma was attacked by two unidentified men who stole his briefcase containing important party documents and 4 million rubles (more than $2,000), a police spokesman said Wednesday. Vladimir Zubkov said Yevgeny Burchenko, 53, had been attacked by two unidentified hooligans close to his house at 11.30 P.M. on Tuesday. "The hooligans knocked Burchenko down, snatched his briefcase out of his hands and ran away," Zubkov said.
