NEW YORK -- John Williams hit a running bank shot in the lane with 20 seconds remaining, helping the Cleveland Cavaliers to their seventh straight victory, a 93-90 decision over the slumping New York Knicks.
Mark Price, who missed the last three games with bruised ribs and did not start, hit five 3-pointers as the Cavaliers sent the Knicks to their fourth straight loss Thursday night. Price finished with 19 points.
After Williams made two free throws to give Cleveland a 93-90 lead, Derek Harper missed a potential tying 3-pointer for the Knicks.
Charles Oakley, who had missed the last four games because of pain in his dislocated right toe, led New York with 19 points and 13 rebounds.
Hornets 103, Sixers 91. In Charlotte, North Carolina, Alonzo Mourning scored 26 points as Charlotte continued its domination of Philadelphia. The Hornets have won five of their last six games, while Philadelphia has lost eight of nine.
Mourning helped the Hornets take control in the third quarter, scoring the last six points during a 13-2 run that put Charlotte up 76-51 with 4:22 left in the period. Clarence Weatherspoon led Philadephia with 25 points.
Jazz 103, Hawks 94. In Atlanta, John Stockton had a season-high 17 assists as Utah won its seventh straight game and extended its franchise-record road winning streak to 10.
Jeff Hornacek scored 24 points for the Jazz, who improved to 10-1 against Eastern Conference teams and completed a sweep of a six-game road trip.
Rockets 114, Suns 106. In Houston, Kenny Smith scored 25 points and Vernon Maxwell led a third-quarter burst that helped Houston snap Phoenix's seven-game winning streak.
The Rockets hit 13 of their first 16 shots in the third period, and took a 74-68 lead with 4:24 left in the quarter.
Maxwell finished with 13 points. Hakeem Olajuwon had 24 points and 14 rebounds for the Rockets. Danny Manning led the Suns with 23 points, and Dan Majerle added 18.
SuperSonics 103, Mavericks 101. In Tacoma, Washington, Gary Payton scored 28 points and keyed a late 13-2 run that helped Seattle win its fourth straight game.
Jamal Mashburn led Dallas with 24 points, but missed a 15-footer with four seconds remaining and a 3-pointer as time expired.
Warriors 107, Washington 87. In Oakland, California, Chris Webber, playing his first game against Golden State since his Nov. 17 trade to Washington for Tom Gugliotta and three first-round picks, dislocated his left shoulder in a third-quarter scramble for a loose ball.
The win snapped Golden State's 10-game losing streak. The Bullets have lost eight in a row.
Kings 109, Timberwolves 89. In Sacramento, California, Olden Polynice and Walt Williams each scored 17 points in Sacramento's most lopsided win of the season.
Lionel Simmons added 16 points for the Kings, who built a 28-point cushion midway through the third quarter and held an 84-61 lead entering the fourth period.
