Boris Berezovsky’s 87-year-old mother, Anna Alexandrovna, regularly advises her son: “Borya, make peace with Vova,” the entrepreneur told Moskovsky Komsomolets. He did not say whether he intends to follow her advice.
Berezovsky said his mother lives in France, where “the climate is very suitable for the elderly,” but they see each other rarely because he is banned from entering the country. He noted that his mother managed to figure out how to use an iPhone before he did.
Berezovsky has lived in Britain, where he received political asylum, since 2003. Russia placed him on a wanted list in September 2001 on charges of fraud, money laundering and attempted forcible seizure of power.
Berezovsky said he is “enjoying life” and “teaching the basics of leading a civilized business” to authoritative Russian businessmen such as Roman Abramovich and Vasily Anisimov in a London court. Berezovsky is suing Anisimov for a stake in the Mikhailovsky plant and Abramovich on charges of pressuring him to sell his stakes in Sibneft, RusAl and ORT.
