Aeroflot is offering cheap flights to and from 79 destinations across the world in the New Year, in celebration of its 85th anniversary. But you'll have to book quickly, as the offer ends Thursday, Dec. 20. The special tickets are available for flights leaving Russia from Jan. 10 to March 20, 2008, or arriving in Russia from Jan. 16 to March 26. Tickets to 45 of the destinations can be booked over the Internet, and to all of the destinations at Aeroflot offices or travel agents. There are lots of discounts available, both within Russia and to cities abroad. For example from Moscow to St. Petersburg for 2,000 rubles ($40), or to Omsk for 3,800 rubles; from Moscow to Berlin for 99 euros ($145), or to London for 149 euros. S7 Airlines has a special offer until Dec. 27 on 700,000 seats on flights from Jan. 1 to Oct. 28, 2008. Discounts of up to 70 percent are available to a number of Russian and international destinations: a return flight to St. Petersburg for 1,800 rubles, or to Sochi for 1,980 rubles.
