Witnesses said 22-year-old Wagner Soares da Silva, a fan of the Sao Paulo club Palmeiras, was shot by the occupants of a car outside the famous Rio de Janeiro stadium following Palmeiras' away game with Flamengo on Saturday.
During the game, Palmeiras fans had hurled objects at Flamengo fans. No arrests were reported.
