TBILISI, Georgia — The next round of talks with Georgia on Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization will be held in May, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalanadze said Monday.
Specific proposals were negotiated during the second round in Switzerland on April 28-29, Kalanadze said, but did not elaborate. "The dialogue is continuing, and the sides have reached an agreement to hold the next round, all of which can be described as a positive result at this stage," she said.
Talks between Moscow and Tbilisi on Russia's accession to the WTO were resumed in March with Switzerland's mediation. The next meeting is to be held in Geneva.
