The heads of AvtoVAZ, GAZ Group and Sollers asked Prime Minister Vladimir Putin for retaliatory measures to limit car imports from General Motors’ Uzbek venture, Interfax said.
Uzbekistan introduced measures this year to protect GM’s local venture that have hurt Russian producers, Interfax said, citing a copy of a letter to Putin that was signed by AvtoVAZ chief executive Igor Komarov, GAZ CEO Sergei Zanozin and Sollers CEO Vadim Shvetsov.
