Arms Cache Found

Agents of the city police this week struck a significant blow against crime in the capital, depriving criminals of a large quantity of weapons. Last Tuesday they discovered the location of an arms cache and immediately sent a team to investigate.

The criminal lived with his parents in a private house. Police agents were amazed at what they found there: one infantry machine gun, five handguns, 23 remote-controlled explosive devices, 46 explosive devices each containing 200 grams of chemical explosives, two kilograms of plastic explosive, 5500 rounds of various types of ammunition, 130 clips for Kalashnikov rifles and a large collection of spare parts. Police also found 34 police radio sets, which apparently were to be used to build remote-controlled explosive devices. According to the initial investigation, several people in Moscow have already fallen victim to weapons from this cache.

A Message from The Moscow Times:

Dear readers,

We are facing unprecedented challenges. Russia's Prosecutor General's Office has designated The Moscow Times as an "undesirable" organization, criminalizing our work and putting our staff at risk of prosecution. This follows our earlier unjust labeling as a "foreign agent."

These actions are direct attempts to silence independent journalism in Russia. The authorities claim our work "discredits the decisions of the Russian leadership." We see things differently: we strive to provide accurate, unbiased reporting on Russia.

We, the journalists of The Moscow Times, refuse to be silenced. But to continue our work, we need your help.

Your support, no matter how small, makes a world of difference. If you can, please support us monthly starting from just $2. It's quick to set up, and every contribution makes a significant impact.
