The mausoleum of Bolshevik revolutionary Vladimir Lenin will be closed to the Moscow public for several weeks, a news report said Thursday.
One of the capital's main tourist attractions, the mausoleum shut its doors on Thursday and will remain off limits until May 15, Interfax reported, citing the Federal Guards Service.
The mausoleum has been shut in connection with the preparations for a Victory Day parade, which will take place on Red Square on May 9. This year's celebrations mark 70 years since the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
The Lenin mausoleum only reopened on Saturday after undergoing two months of planned renovations.
