Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova will face Serena Williams in the final of the Australian Open after winning her semi-final 6-3, 6-2 against compatriot Ekaterina Makarova.
Top-seed Williams beat fellow American Madison Keys 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 later Thursday to secure her spot in Saturday's final.
Williams is the overwhelming favorite for the Grand Slam title, having won the last 15 matches against fierce rival Sharapova.
