Police Discover Triple Murder Scene in Northwestern Moscow

Police uncovered a grisly murder scene in a northwestern suburb of Moscow on Sunday after neighbors reported an unpleasant stench.

Responding to a call from a woman who said her neighbors had not been seen leaving their apartment for an unusually long time, police found the bodies of three victims on their balcony, the Interfax news agency reported, citing a source in law enforcement.

The victims included the family's 63-year-old father, found with a bag over his head, a 62-year-old mother and the 40-year-old daughter. Medical examiners believe they were killed about three weeks ago, the report said.

The whereabouts of another member of the family, the 39-year-old son, are unknown. Police have opened a criminal case into the incident and are currently investigating.
