Soldier Suspected of Throwing Kenyan From Window Detained

A soldier has been detained on suspicion of throwing a 19-year-old Kenyan woman out of a sixth-floor window in Moscow while drunk.

The incident is believed to have been preceded by an argument and took place early Sunday morning on Volochaevskaya Ulitsa to the city's east. The woman, who has not been named, was hospitalized with multiple injuries.

Police confirmed that the solder had been detained in a statement carried by RIA Novosti.

"[The suspect] is believed to have deliberately pushed a woman out of a window, following an argument and while in a drunken state," the statement said.
