Gazprom Favored Employer

Gazprom remains the most attractive potential employer for Russians, with the share of respondents who would like to work for this company increasing by 50 percent, the VTsIOM public opinion center reported, Interfax said.

Given the choice of working for any major company on the Russian market, 44 percent of respondents would choose Gazprom, up from 33 percent in 2009, according to a survey VTsIOM conducted this fall in 138 population centers in 46 regions of the country.

The survey showed that the appeal of employers such as oil major Rosneft has risen to 29 percent from 23 percent, while Sberbank was at 25 percent, up from 19 percent.

Though no margin of error was stated, VTsIOM usually has a 3.4 percent margin of error.
