Primorye Head Nominated

President Dmitry Medvedev officially submitted interim governor Vladimir Miklushevsky to the Legislative Assembly of the Primorye region as a candidate to become permanent governor, according to RIA-Novosti.

Miklushevsky, has been serving as interim governor since his unpopular predecessor Sergei Darkin submitted his early resignation on Feb. 28.

Observers said Darkin was likely fired for failing to attract investment .
