Kyrgyz Detain Arms Dealers

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan — Security services in Kyrgyzstan say they have detained a group of illegal weapons traders suspected of being linked to Islamist militants.

The National State Security Committee said in a statement Monday that the group, which comprised at least seven people, including police officers, had engaged in the sale of machine guns and assault rifles.
