Military Jet Crashes

A MiG-31 fighter jet crashed Friday during a regular training mission, but its crew of two ejected safely, the Defense Ministry said.

The plane crashed near the city of Perm and did not cause any damage on the ground, the ministry said, adding that the Air Force has grounded its MiG-31 fleet pending a probe into the crash. Military investigators said the plane went into a tailspin before pilots ejected.
