S7 Joins Oneworld Alliance

S7 Airlines has joined the Oneworld global alliance, the carrier said Monday. S7 passengers will be able to buy and spend Oneworld air miles and make use of benefits of the other 11 members in the alliance, including American Airlines, British Airways and Qantas.

Vladislav Filev and his wife Natalia, who own 70 percent of the carrier, are ready to buy shares “at a reasonable price,” Filev said Monday, declining to elaborate. The government owns 25 percent of S7.
