Medvedev Pardons Convicts

Twenty-nine people sentenced to prison terms of one to three years for minor crimes have been pardoned by President Dmitry Medvedev, the Kremlin reported Friday on its web site. The report only listed the names of the pardoned persons, not the violations they were convicted of. The Kremlin said all prisoners have committed nonviolent crimes.
