Wal-Mart in Kopeika Hunt

Wal-Mart Stores, the world’s largest retailer, may buy Russia’s Trade House Kopeika, Vedomosti reported Friday, citing people familiar with negotiations.

Billionaire Nikolai Tsvetkov, who owns Kopeika, values it at about 50 billion rubles ($1.7 billion) and did not want to sell it to X5 Retail Group for less, the newspaper said.
