Planting conditions for winter grains in most northern and central parts of western Russia will be “mostly satisfactory” in September, the Federal Meteorological Service said Wednesday.
Conditions in the southern parts of the Volga Federal District and most of the Southern Federal District will be unfavorable because of insufficient soil moisture, the service said in a statement on its web site Tuesday. Harvesting and sowing conditions in the eastern part of the country will be “mostly” satisfactory in September, it said.
