The 33-year-old all-star will face further tests to determine if the cancer has spread. However, it is believed the cancer was confined to the testicle.
If there is no spread, Dr. Phillip Marone, the team physician, said Wednesday that Kruk can expect a full recovery.
"A seminoma is a cancer that is very curable," Marone said. "If there is spread, then the treatment is a very low dose of irradiation, of which the cure rate is 99 percent."
