Yemeni Cease-Fire

SAN`A, Yemen -- North Yemen on Monday announced a unilateral cease-fire in its month-old civil war with the secessionist South in compliance with last week's UN resolution. "We have informed the secretary-general of the United Nations and the secretary-general of the Arab League that a cease-fire will start from midnight tonight," said the North's foreign minister, Mohammed Salem Bassandwah. Bassandwah said the cease-fire would last as long as the South respected it.
