MOSCOW ( -- Moscow-based weather service Rosgidromet confirmed Tuesday that it had purchased two computers from Cray Research Inc., maker of the world's most powerful supercomputers.
"We have already received the signed contract," said Anatoly Yakovlev, spokesman for Rosgidromet, adding that the weather service expected to finance the contract with a loan from the U.S. Export-Import Bank.
He would not say how much money was involved.
