UN Warns Serb Airforce

ZAGREB, Croatia () -- The United Nations on Tuesday warned the Serbs against using Udbina airport again now that they have repaired it after last month's NATO air raid.

It had taken rebel Serb forces only about 10 days to repair the runway at Udbina after a force of about 50 NATO aircraft attacked it Nov. 21, cratering the runway but avoiding parked Serb warplanes.

The raid was in retaliation for a napalm and cluster bomb raid carried out by Serb combat aircraft against the besieged northwestern Bosnian town of Bihac, a UN-declared "safe area."

"It was a little action," said Colonel Milan Tregocivic, an officer stationed in the region where the airstrip is located. "It gave us a little headache, nothing more."
