Ruble Holds Steady

MOSCOW -- The ruble held steady against the dollar Thursday in trading on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange, closing at 1,959 per dollar. Net trading volume was $21.9 million, with initial supply of $76.75 million and initial demand for $80.1 million. Forty-six banks participated in the trading. The ruble also held steady against the Deutsche mark, closing at 1,188 per mark.
